Reaching the Pendle area couldn't be easier. With excellent transport links, getting here should pose no difficulties whatsoever.

The following directions take you to Colne at the end of the M65, which is in the heart of Pendle. Our other maps should assist you in finding your exact destination.

By Road
From the M6 (Heading North)

Follow the M6 heading North to Junction 29, where it meets the M65 (signposted Burnley.)

Join the M65, and proceed along its entire length, following the signs for Burnley and Colne for 25.5 miles.


From the M6 (Heading South)

Follow the M6 heading South to Junction 30, where it meets the M61
Join the M61 and proceed for 1.5 miles to Junction 9.

Bear left at the roundabout to join the M65 (signposted Burnley.)

Follow the M65 for 24 miles, following the signs for Burnley and Colne.

 

From the M1

Follow the M1 to junction 42 where it meets the M62.

Follow the M62 westbound for 25 miles, to junction 18, where it meets the M66.

Join the M66, and proceed North for 11 miles until the M66 (becoming A56) branches left towards Burnley.

Continue along this road for 7 miles, over the roundabout at Rising Bridge until it meets the M65.

Take the 3rd exit at this roundabout and proceed for 9 miles to the end of the M65 at Colne.

By Bus

Pendle and the surrounding area is very well served by an efficient bus network.

The regular X43 service connects Colne and Manchester (running through Burnley) and is operated by Burnley & Pendle.

"The Mainline" route connects Pendle with Burnley & Padiham.

By Rail

Lancashire has an extensive rail network and is well connected to the rest of Britain via the West Coast Mainline.

The services to Pendle (via Burnley, Brierfield, Nelson and Colne stations) generally connect at Preston station.

By Air

Manchester International Airport is approximately 1 hour away from Pendle by car.

There are excellent coach transfer facilities with National Express, and rail services are also available (change at Bolton/Blackburn or Preston.)
